Congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks for winning the Stanley Cup last night. Thanks and goodbye. This concludes the sports that get in the way of my favorite sport – baseball. Major League Baseball takes center stage in the sports world for the next couple of months until football (college and pro) take over.
Baseball is my favorite sport and I love going to the sportsbook and watching baseball and nothing but baseball. The sportsbooks are usually empty because fewer people care about MLB every year. MLB is slowly becoming a fringe sport like hockey. That’s okay, more room for me.
I enjoy just watching the games but I usually have a few bucks on a game or two and I usually have a few players in action on the greatest fantasy baseball team of all-time: The Las Vegas Porterhouse (AKA LVPH).
The dog days of summer refer to the excessive summer heat in July and August. In Las Vegas the temperatures get up into the 115+ degree range. This stinks but it’s a great excuse to head to the sportsbook to get some air conditioning. Day games no longer provide any problems as some of my favorite casinos have free wifi and I can work while watching the games. Check out my “office” at Red Rock Resort during the NHL playoffs.
Thank you to the other sports for passing the time over the past few months. Now it’s time for my favorite sport to take over. I’ll see you at the sportsbook. HUZZAH!
