I’ve been reading Vegas Chatter since before I moved to Las Vegas and started writing for them. I started reading Vegas Chatter because the information was different from the other blogs and websites about Vegas. The combination of mainstream Vegas news and personal views on everything covered just about everything I craved for Vegas.
The website holds a special place in my heart for that reason alone. After moving to Las Vegas I was lucky enough to become a contributor and then Senior Contributing Editor (fancy title, huh?). Vegas Chatter was the beginning to my writing and career. I’m sad to say that Vegas Chatter will be cashing out for the last time on July 31.
There are a lot of reasons to be sad about Vegas Chatter closing but most of all is that there will be a void for this kind of content on the web. Some websites have news, some have rumors and others may have an opinion. No other websites have all of the above specifically for Vegas. I could probably go on for 5,000 words but I’d rather look forward.
As much as I’m saddened by the end of this era I will continue to contribute to Covers.com, Travel Vegas and the .buzz network (including vegas.buzz). There are always offers to write and consult for different companies and with this void I may be able to seriously consider those opportunities. I’ll also have some time to update the Vegas Photo Blog a bit more regularly.
In an effort to keep the news flowing I’ll continue to share news about Vegas as I see it through twitter and Facebook. Twitter is as it happens news, events, gambling, personal opinion and articles I write while Facebook is mostly just news and articles I write.
I want to thank Vegas Chatter for years of fun and informative reading. I also want to thank them for the opportunity to contribute to the site. Vegas Chatter will always mark the beginning of this chapter of my life and I’ll never forget it.
Onward and upward!

Marc, I agree. Alas, I will miss the Chatter. I always enjoyed the useful information and stories. I always looked forward to receiving my email everyday. May you have good luck in your future endeavors. Remember what happens in Vegas doesn’t always have to stay in Vegas!!
