Odds Are You’re Going To Lose If You Bet On The Super Bowl

I love stats but I try not to get too caught up in the minutia of a lot of the monthly and annual gaming data that’s available. However when someone does the heavy lifting for me and makes it easy to digest I can dig it.

Sports Memo put together annual gaming information on the Super Bowl from the Nevada Gaming Commission. Nevada have won more money than bettors 16 of the past 18 years. Yowza!

Super Bowl Data

The only games where the sportsbooks didn’t win were 2008 when the New York Giants defeated the unbeaten New England Patriots and in 1995 when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the San Diego Chargers.

This isn’t really surprising since most of the money bet on the Super Bowl is from people that don’t normally bet or pay too much attention to betting during the NFL season.

The Super Bowl is no different than any other time you gamble; it should be for fun and with money you can afford. With this kind of history you should expect to lose if you’re placing any money on the Super Bowl. Have fun and be safe with your money.

My Super Bowl XLVI Prop Bets

Over the past couple years I’ve meticulously researched Super Bowl prop bets. Like with all sports betting my strategy it’s not perfect. Until this morning (thanks lvsparky) I forgot about my dreadful prop bets last year. Yesterday, I shared my methodology on Vegas Chatter and last night I spent a couple hours listening to my some of my favorite podcasts (Betting Dork & BS Report) talk about Super Bowl prop bets while I did my research. The pods offered little help, besides a reminder that the game is in a dome. That nugget actually played into on of my favorite bets below.

The only one that I really stepped out on is Tom Brady rushing for a TD, which he does about half the time and if the ball is on the 1 yard line, I’m confident he’ll run up for a QB sneak. I’m always willing to share my bets and without further adieu here are my team, game and player prop bets for Super Bowl XLVI. Now I’m ready to have some fun!

Super Bowl XLVI Prop Bets – Mixed Sports

It’s time for the Super Bowl! The Super Bowl means lots of betting options. Besides betting on the point spread there are hundreds of prop bets available for both the New York Giants and New England Patriots. I’m breaking the up props to make it easier to read. I’ll share my plays before the game.

Check Bet Online for current odds. They have pretty good sign up bonuses too if you’re not already a member.

Here are the mixed sport prop bets. These bets include both teams in the Super Bowl as well as some individual players against teams and players from NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL and golf. These bets are real and a little more confusing than traditional game and team bets. Read carefully because there is definitely opportunity here. The odds below are from LVH and accurate as of the date released, the info comes via Vegas Insider :
