I don’t eat sushi but $24.95 for All You Can Eat (AYCE) anything sounds like a good deal. Jayde Fuzion at M Resort is 3.5 Stars on Yelp so this might be a good excuse to strap on a feed bag and head a few miles away from the action on the strip. M Resort is a great casino sometimes offers like this give people an excuse to leave the comfort of the Vegas Strip.

UPDATE: I must have missed that this includes free sake. That makes this an even better deal!

The press release is below if you want more info.

Beginning Sunday, June 1, Jayde Fuzion at M Resort Spa Casino will proudly offer all-you-can-eat sushi Sunday through Thursday at the sushi bar. Guests will enjoy unlimited sushi, nigiri and hand rolls, along with complimentary sake, for $24.95 per person (pre-tax).

I like comedians. In fact I spent my lunch break today watching the hysterical new hour-long special from Jim Gaffigan that premiered on Comedy Central last night, Obsessed (buy at Amazon). I also like M Resort but don’t make it out that way too often. I live on the opposite side of  Las Vegas and I’m lazy. 🙂

M Resort has comedians performing for free (free admission but 2 drink minimum) at Ravello in May that could change things. Here’s the schedule for May.

Cantor Gaming Crushed The Super Bowl

Cantor Gaming did monster business from Super Bowl wagering last week. In fact, they made 3 times more money than the average casino.

Cantor Gaming announced today that its eight race and sports books generated 16% of Nevada’s record $98.9 million Super Bowl handle, and they enjoyed 21% of the total win.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board announced earlier this week that $98,936,798 was wagered in Nevada’s 183 sports books on this year’s Super Bowl, and the books retained 7.3% or $7,206,460.

“We were delighted to see so many sports fans in our books during Super Bowl, demonstrating that Cantor Gaming continues to be a go-to, household name for sports wagers within the state of Nevada,” said Lee M. Amaitis, Cantor’s president and CEO. “Our high percentage contribution to the…handle and win underscores our position as a leading sports book operator in Nevada.”

If you’ve been following Cantor Gaming this shouldn’t be much of a surprise. They mostly cater to big spenders and not the average tourist on the strip looking to drop a few bucks on a game.

Cantor Gaming has lost/invested almost $100 million since it’s inception but their focus on the top spenders in the market while focusing on new technology and wagering options is setting them up for a great future. Maybe someday they’ll upgrade the M Resort sportsbook to be on par with their other sportsbooks.

Here’s a list of all the Cantor Gaming sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

Cantor Gaming Adds Another Sportsbook In Las Vegas

Cantor Gaming Adds Another Sportsbook In Las Vegas..Blah Blah Blah. Instead of writing about each addition I figure I’ll give a guide to each Cantor Gaming sportsbook and list highlights.

  • Lagasse’s Stadium (Palazzo) – Restaurant, Bar, Stadium Seating, Mini Casino, Outdoor Billiards, Skyboxes. Easily the best sportsbook. Anywhere.
  • Venetian – Biggest and brightest sportsbook TV’s I’ve ever seen. A lot of room. Bar with video poker in back of book.
  • Tropicana – Huge with ample seating. Feels like mission control. Can enter without going into casino via MGM Grand bridge.
  • Cosmopolitan – This place is tiny and awkward. The only reason to go here is because it’s in Cosmo and close to Holsteins Burgers and Marquee.
  • Palms – Small and crowded sportsbook that has an adjoining poker room. If you don’t mind the click clack of chips in the background, this is fine.
  • Hard Rock – Small sportsbook that, besides football season, is never really crowded. Drink service is minimal so BYO.
  • MResort – This is where is all began for Cantor Gaming. With all of the new sportsbooks, this sportsbook looks and feels old. It can use an update.
  • Silverton – Silverton is considered a locals casino and is located between Mandalay Bay and M Resort. This sportsbook fits perfectly with the casino and is a sneaky great place to watch a game.

There are upsides to Cantor Gaming sportsbooks, like the new, beautiful television screens and nifty technology, but you will not receive a comp drink unless you’re betting $10,000 per game, you won’t receive any casino comps and you’ll be lucky to see a cocktail waitress walk by to get you a drink.

This list will be updated as Cantor Gaming adds more casinos.

Cantor Gaming Made $400 Million in 2010

I was doing some podcast catch up today and found some interesting information on he latest Center for Gaming Research podcast with Lee Amaitis, CEO of Cantor Gaming

Among other things, I learned that last year Cantor Gaming made $400 million dollars.  Amaitis mentioned this was only at one casino (M Resort), but they’ve been working with Legasse Stadium since it opened so I have to imagine that includes both properties.

It will be interesting to see the growth with Cantor Gaming’s expansion into Tropicana, Hard Rock and soon the Cosmopolitan. I don’t think revenues will triple, but that number will definitely grow.

It’s an interesting podcast if you’re interested in sports betting operations.  Click the image below to access the podcast.
