Here are all 8 minutes of the Las Vegas Fireworks show that were live from the Vegas Strip last night. Each song was in the playlist was tailored to a specific casino but I don’t really understand it. I don’t think KTNV Las Vegas aired the footage in sync with the actual choreography plan.

Anyway, fireworks in Las Vegas are always awesome. Enjoy.

Happy New Year!

Fireworks Return To Red Rock Resort And Green Valley Ranch On July 4th

ICYMI, people love fireworks.

Station Casinos brings in the heavyweights of fireworks, the Grucci family, to do their 4th of July fireworks show. “If you’re not going to hire the Grucci’s to do your fireworks show you shouldn’t bother”, says the guy who grew up with the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show in New York City.

Fireworks will go for 9 minutes at 9pm a both Red Rock Resort and Green Valley Ranch. Caesars Palace has done 4th of July fireworks on the Vegas Strip in the past but hasn’t made an official announcement yet.

Caesars Entertainment is probably too busy cleaning up the poop pipes that broke at The Linq over the weekend. I’ll just tweet that info when it comes out. Enjoy the best of the Red Rock fireworks video I could find on the YouTube.

Update: Stratosphere announced that will have fireworks at 9:15 sharp.

New Years Eve In Las Vegas

Without a doubt New York City is the best place in America to ring in the New Year if you’re looking for a large public gathering. With that being said, Las Vegas has recently launched itself into the second best to celebrate New Years Eve. Las Vegas is definitely the #1 place to celebrate New Years Eve in the Pacific time zone.

Whether you’re looking to party in a club with some of the best DJ’s or gather outside and watch fireworks or live music there’s definitely something for you. Along with the awesome party come some things to know about.

FIREWORKS

7 Las Vegas strip casinos will shoot off fireworks for New Years Eve. Gathering is not confined to one area as fireworks will be shot off from MGM Grand on the south end of the strip all the way to the Stratosphere on the north end of the strip.

LAS VEGAS STRIP CLOSING

The chaos of 300,000+ people on the Las Vegas strip for fireworks means that the Las Vegas strip will be closed much of the night on New Years Eve. If you have plans elsewhere get back to your hotel early. Better yet, don’t leave the strip.

DOWNTOWN VEGAS

If confined spaces and live music are more to your liking then you may want to head to downtown Las Vegas. This year’s Downtown Countdown will cost anywhere from $30 to $40 but you get concerts and “fireworks” show on the awesome Fremont Street Experience canopy. This is 21+ only…NO KIDS! (YAY)

Watch The Las Vegas Fireworks Live Online

Earlier this week I saw a question from @goon29 on twitter asking if he could watch the New Years Eve fireworks from Vegas live online somewhere since he’s back east. I figure he’s not the only one that might like this info. After all, we all have Vegas cravings (even if you live here and hide in the burbs) and this is a good excuse to get a fix.

After trying to go through proper channels (Thanks Becca) and not getting an answer I got an answer for Goon last night from Channel 8 News’ Dayna Roselli last night about 2 minutes after I asked.

While nothing is like being in New York City for New Years Eve, Las Vegas is probably the second best place in America to be. The strip is shut down to traffic and becomes a giant open container street party. While I’m at it, being 40-something degrees at midnight is much nicer than standing in zero degree temps outside being back east.

This year the big fireworks display will be held at 8 different casinos on the strip and last nine minutes. Dayna says that Channel 8 will have helicopters and cameras all over Las Vegas to cover things.
