LAS VEGAS (Nov. 12, 2019) – SAHARA Las Vegas is asking long-time Las Vegans, historians and collectors to contribute to its more than $150 million transformation. As the property readies to unveil an all-new hotel lobby later this month, the iconic resort is seeking donations of memorabilia and collectibles from the original Sahara Hotel and Casino to display and provide a hint of nostalgia to its new exquisite, modern design.

“Our vision for the new hotel lobby was to create a modern design with top-tier guest amenities and technology, yet with a bit of inspiration and nod to the original Sahara,” said Nancy Paolino, founder and chief creative officer for Innovativo Design. “With the many enhancements we are making, we still want to acknowledge this property’s iconic history on the Las Vegas strip.”

All submissions will be considered. Rare items from the 1950s through the 1970s are of particular interest, especially those that will provide dimension to the look and feel of the all-new lobby including menus, china, figurines and more. Selected contributors will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive lobby tour and fireside chat with the designer at CASBAR Lounge.

SAHARA Las Vegas will be accepting submissions through Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019. Those looking to contribute their items to the resort’s transformation can submit by sharing a photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #OURSAHARA or by email at socialmedia@saharalasvegas.com.
